The Moving Well Intervention: A Peer Coaching Program for Patients with Osteoarthritis Planning Total Knee Arthroplasty

Dr. Navarro-Millan developed a peer coaching program for patients with osteoarthritis who are planning for total knee arthroplasty. The Moving Well Intervention program will help people prepare for and recover from knee replacement surgery to regain their independence and to live and age with dignity.

“As the population keeps aging, we are at high risk of developing arthritis the older that we get. The intention and the impact of the Moving Well Intervention program is that every orthopedic surgeon can prescribe this to those patients at risk of limiting or worse outcomes of their knee replacement.”
