Researching the Researcher

Ashira Blazer, MD, MSCI

Hospital for Special Surgery

Dr. Blazer identifies three qualities that make a good researcher.

Curiosity: You’re constantly asking questions that will lead to more questions. A hunger for new knowledge and knowing you may not always be right are both crucial.

Passion: It can be challenging at times to conduct experiments or go through the funding process. Passion will keep you motivated.

Compassion: Always be mindful of how the work you’re doing is impacting others.
