Filling gaps in rheumatologic care is one of the key funding priorities of the Rheumatology Research Foundation. Between 2009 and 2020, the number of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in rheumatology rose by 141%, compared to just a 23% increase in rheumatologists.
